About Us

From June 5 to 6, 2017, nearly 30 volunteers from the non-profit organization Sticks for Change will build and detonate a 50,000+ piece stick bomb. Members of our group have held the world record twice in the past, once in 2012 and once in 2015. We already have over 50,000 popsicle sticks in our possession from our previous attempt.

Our event this year will be dedicated to charity, and we will raise funds by allowing people to sponsor either individual sticks or sections of the 50,000+ piece stick bomb. Our 14 volunteers from our 2015 event have also built many smaller stick bombs during practices for our record setting event.

We were initially inspired to break this record by the performances of Tim Fort (AKA “The Kinetic King”) on the television show America’s Got Talent (Tim Fort has also held the stick bomb world record in the past).
